Preschool

The day has officially arrived. Luke and Olivia have started preschool-another reminder of how quickly the days are flying by.

Dan is working from home because of the DNC, so he was able to go with me for pick up and drop off. Unfortunately, both Luke and Olivia have come down with a cold (or allergies; who really knows) so they weren't feeling their absolute best. However, they haven't had a fever and seemed ok otherwise so we thought it was ok to send them. The teachers didn't think it would be a problem either.

They looked so grown up with their backpacks and lunches walking into their classroom to find their name hooks. Olivia walked right in while it took Luke a little longer to warm up. But there were no tears (from anyone...yay me!) and we were able to leave them happy and playing with their friends.

The time really did go by quickly, and before I knew it, it was 1pm and time to pick them up. While I know this will be good for them (and me), it's still hard to let them go. I can't even begin to think about them starting kindergarten! We came home to an ice cream sandwich treat for them being so brave on their first day. Here's hoping the rest of the drop off days go just as smoothly.
