Happy 5th Birthday!!!!

Wow...beyond hard to believe our babies are FIVE!!! Seems like we were celebrating their birth yesterday, and now they are young kids. Kids?!?! Each child has developed such different personalities, yet in many ways they are similar. They both think tooting is funny, they both love to wrestle with daddy, neither particularly like vegetables or chocolate, and they both love milk. Luke still loves his stuffed monkey, Lukey, and Olivia still loves baby Pretzel more than any other "friend." When we go out to eat, it's pretty much guaranteed Luke will order chicken nuggets with ketchup, french fries and lemonade. Olivia loves grilled cheese the best, although she's been known to eat a plain cheeseburger sometimes, too.

Luke is still our quiet observer, but sometimes he gets on a roll and talks our ear off! He still loves construction trucks, but has a new found love for dinosaurs, sharks and the Carolina Panthers. Olivia continues to be outgoing and has developed a love for country music and singing. She is definitely a performer! They both do great in preschool and are learning and absorbing so much. I'm often amazed at how mature they can be at times, yet still be so childlike. Watching them grow has truly been one of the greatest gifts and best blessings in my life.

Most of all, Luke and Olivia are each others best friends. They have a blast playing together, while sometimes arguing like normal siblings do. When they take a break to watch a show, they always...and I mean ALWAYS, sit right next to each other on the couch, sometimes practically on top of one another. They have their own chairs, but they prefer to sit together. It's really one of the sweetest things I will remember about them as they get older.

They are having a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese next weekend, and then we are surprising them with a trip to see Frozen on Ice. More to come on that in another post!
